Removal & Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Lincoln Blackwood. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Remove lower right instrument panel insulator. See Fig 1. If equipped, remove air filter and brackets. Remove passenger side scuff plate. See Fig 2. Position passenger side weatherstrip aside. See Fig 3. Remove passenger side kick panel.
  2. Pull back carpet. See Fig 5. Disconnect aspirator tube and remove screw. See Fig 6. Remove screws and aspirator tube extension. See Fig 7. Disconnect electrical connector from blower motor. See Fig 8. Remove screws and remove blower motor. See Fig 9. Remove clip. Remove blower wheel. See Fig 10.
  3. To install, reverse removal procedure. Check system for proper operation.
