Pump - CIII 4.0L: Removal

Remove the engine cooling fan. For additional information, refer to ENGINE COOLING .
Loosen the power steering pump pulley bolts.

Rotate the tensioner counterclockwise and remove the belt from the power steering pump pulley. For additional information, refer to SPECIFICATIONS & DRIVE BELT ROUTING .
Remove the power steering pump pulley.
1. Remove the bolts.
2. Remove the power steering pump pulley.

Disconnect the power steering return line hose at the power steering fluid reservoir.
- Allow the system to drain.

Disconnect the power steering pressure hose from the power steering pump.

Disconnect the power steering fluid reservoir outlet hose from the power steering pump.
1. Compress and move the power steering fluid reservoir outlet hose clamp.
2. Disconnect the power steering fluid reservoir outlet hose from the power steering pump.

Remove the power steering pump.
1. Remove the bolts.
2. Remove the power steering pump.
