Extension Housing Seal And Gasket: Removal

- Raise and support the vehicle.
- Mark the driveshaft flange and the rear pinion flange for correct alignment during assembly.
- Remove the four bolts.
- Remove the driveshaft.
- Disconnect the catalyst monitoring sensor harness connectors. Remove the harness bracket.
- Remove the transmission insulator and retainer. For additional information, refer to TRANSMISSION INSULATOR AND RETAINER .
- Use the special tools, remove the extension housing seal.
- Remove the extension housing and gasket.
- Remove the bolts and nuts.
- Remove the extension housing and gasket.
NOTE:
The output shaft and driveshaft are a balanced assembly.
