Removal and Installation

- Remove the battery tray. For additional information, refer to BATTERY TRAY .
- Remove the air cleaner assembly.
- Remove the fuse junction box cover.
- Remove the cables.
- Remove the nuts and the cable.
- Release the lock clip and pull down on the connector.
- Remove the bolt from the inner fender.
- Remove the bolt holding the ground cable to the transaxle.
- Disconnect the harness clip.
- Disconnect the harness clip at the back of the engine.
- Remove the cable clip from under the battery support.
- Raise and support the vehicle.
- Remove the cable ends from the starter solenoid.
- Remove the upper nut.
- Remove the lower nut.
- Remove the nut and the cable end from the generator B+ connector.
- Remove the battery cable harness assembly.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
