Gearshift Cable Adjustment

    NOTE: Make sure that the gearshift lever is in neutral and the parking brake is set.

  1. If necessary, remove the center console trim and gearshift lever boot.
    1. Remove the gearshift lever knob.
    2. Remove the center console trim and gearshift boot.
  2. Release the gearshift cable adjuster lock.

  3. Release the gearshift cable adjuster.

  4. NOTE: The transmission is in neutral when the angle between the gearshift lever and the transmission shift lever is 90 degrees.

  5. Set the transmission in neutral.
  6. NOTE: Make sure that the gearshift lever is in neutral.

  7. Push in the adjuster and secure the lock.
  8. If necessary, install the center console trim, the gearshift lever boot assembly and the gearshift lever knob.
