Gearshift Cable Adjustment

- If necessary, remove the center console trim and gearshift lever boot.
- Remove the gearshift lever knob.
- Remove the center console trim and gearshift boot.
- Release the gearshift cable adjuster lock.
- Release the gearshift cable adjuster.
- Set the transmission in neutral.
- Push in the adjuster and secure the lock.
- If necessary, install the center console trim, the gearshift lever boot assembly and the gearshift lever knob.
NOTE:
Make sure that the gearshift lever is in neutral and the parking brake is set.
NOTE:
The transmission is in neutral when the angle between the gearshift lever and the transmission shift lever is 90 degrees.
