Removal and Installation

Partially drain the engine coolant. For additional information, refer to COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING, FILLING AND BLEEDING .
Remove the three bolts and separate the coolant outlet adapter from the thermostat housing.

NOTE: The thermostat is indexed and must be installed correctly.

Remove the thermostat and the O-ring seal.

NOTE: Clean and inspect the sealing surfaces.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
