Removal and Installation

All Vehicles
- Drain the engine cooling system. For additional information, refer to COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING, FILLING AND BLEEDING .
- Raise and support the vehicle.
- Remove the lower splash shields.
Vehicles with 2.0L Zetec engines
- Disconnect the lower radiator hose and the Gades return hose.
Vehicles with 3.0L (4V) engines
- Disconnect the lower radiator hose, the high pressure transmission line and the Gades return hose.

All vehicles
- Remove the lower center support bolt.
- Lower the vehicle.
Vehicles with 2.0L Zetec engines
- Disconnect the remaining coolant hose connections.
Vehicles with 3.0L (4V) engines
- Disconnect the transmission return line.
- Disconnect the upper radiator hose and Gades supply hose.
All vehicles
- Position the hood latch assemble out of the way. .
- Remove the two bolts and the center support.
- Remove the two top bolts retaining the cooling fan to the radiator.
- Remove the upper radiator support brackets, and remove the radiator from the vehicle.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
