Removal and Installation

- Remove the oil pan. For additional information, refer to OIL PAN .
- Remove the oil pump screen cover and tube.
- Remove and discard the gasket.
- Carefully clean both sealing surfaces.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Install a new gasket.
CAUTION:
The oil pump screen cover and tube sealing surfaces are soft metals. Do not use abrasive grinding discs to remove gasket material; only use manual scrapers. Do not scratch or gouge sealing surfaces.
