Cylinder Head: Disassembly

Remove the camshaft sensor.

Remove the ignition coil bracket.

Remove the intake manifold.

Remove the exhaust manifold.

Remove the timing belt tensioner and pulley.

Remove the inner timing belt cover.
Remove the bracket.

Remove the rear lifting eye.

Remove the front lifting eye.

Remove the cylinder head temperature (CHT) sensor.

Using the special tools, compress the valve spring and remove the valve spring retainer keys, the valve spring retainers, and the valve springs.
- Remove the special tools.

Inspect the valve spring, valve spring retainer and valve spring retainer key. For additional information, refer to ENGINE SYSTEM-GENERAL INFORMATION . Install new parts as necessary.

NOTE: Mark each valve if the original valves are to be used.

Remove the valves.
Using the special tools, remove and discard the valve stem seals.

Inspect the valves. For additional information refer to ENGINE SYSTEM-GENERAL INFORMATION . Install new parts as necessary.
