Power Steering Pump - 3.0L (4V): Installation

- Position the power steering pump.
- Install the power steering pump bracket.
- Install the 5 bolts.
- Install the 6 nuts.
- Install the pressure line bracket screw.
- Install the engine insulator.
- Install the bolts.
- Install the nut.
- Install the upper engine insulator bracket bolt.
- Position the A/C line support and install the nut.
- Using the special tool, install a new Teflon(R) seal on the power steering pressure hose fitting.
- Remove and discard the original seal.
- Stretch the seal over the special tool and slide it onto the tube nut.
- Connect the power steering pressure hose.
- Connect the power steering pressure hose to the pump.
- Connect the electrical connector.
- Install the power steering pressure line bracket bolt.
- Connect the power steering low pressure hose.
- Install the power steering pump pulley and bolt.
- Install the drive belt. For additional information, refer to SPECIFICATIONS & DRIVE BELT ROUTING .
- Tighten the power steering pump pulley bolt.
- Remove the special tools.
- Install the ground strap.
- Position the ground strap and install the nut.
- Fill and leak check the power steering system. For additional information, refer to STEERING SYSTEM - GENERAL INFORMATION .

The engine isolator bracket is shown removed for clarity.
