Shift Concerns: No 4-3 Shift (Automatic)

SHIFT CONCERNS: NO 4-3 SHIFT (AUTOMATIC) SPECIFICATION

Possible Component Reference/Action
218 - ELECTRICAL ROUTINE 
Powertrain Control System 
  • Electrical inputs/outputs, vehicle wiring harnesses, transaxle control module (TCM), shift solenoid 2, internal wiring harness
318 - HYDRAULIC/MECHANICAL ROUTINE 
2-4 Band 
 
  • Inspect for damage. Install new components as necessary.
Main Control Valve Body 
  • Bolts out of torque specification
  • Tighten bolts to specification.
  • Gaskets and separator plate-damaged, off location
  • Inspect for damage. Install new components as necessary.
2-4 Servo Piston Assembly 
  • Piston seals-missing, damaged
  • Inspect for damage. Install new components as necessary.
  • Inspect for damage. Install new components as necessary.
Solenoid Reducing Valve 
 
  • Inspect for damage. Install new components as necessary.
