Fluid
Improper level	Adjust fluid to proper level.
Condition	Inspect fluid.
Cooler Lines
Damaged, blocked, reversed, leaking	Inspect. Install new components as necessary.
Auxiliary Cooler
Damaged, blocked, restricted or improperly installed	Inspect. Install new components as necessary.
Vehicle Concerns Causing Engine Overheating
	Refer to ENGINE COOLING .
Main Control Valve Body
Torque converter clutch valve-stuck, damaged	Inspect. Install new components as necessary.
Torque Converter Not Applying
Seized Converter One-Way Clutch	See Routine 240/340. Inspect - Install new components as necessary.
Excessive Towing Loads
	Check gross vehicle weight (GVW).
Idle or Performance Concern
	Refer to SELF-DIAGNOSTICS .
Improper Clutch or Band Application or Oil Pressure Control System
	Perform Line Pressure Tests and Shift Point Road Test; refer to the procedure. Repair as required.
