Removal & Installation (5.4L)

  1. Remove the air cleaner resonator and outlet tube assembly. Remove the three bolts and the engine appearance cover. Disconnect the throttle position (TP) sensor electrical connector.
  2. Disconnect the accelerator cable, speed control cable, and the return spring. Remove the throttle body. Remove the bolts. Remove and discard the throttle body gasket.
  3. To install, reverse the removal procedure. Tighten bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
