Removal & Installation (4.6L - Lower Intake Manifold)

  1. Remove intake manifold. See REMOVAL & INSTALLATION (4.6L & 5.4L 2V) . Remove fuel lines and injectors. Remove noise shield from lower intake manifold.
  2. Remove lower intake manifold bolts. Remove lower intake manifold. Clean all mating surfaces.
  3. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten fasteners to specification. See Fig 1. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Fill and bleed the engine cooling system. See COOLING SYSTEM BLEEDING  under COOLING SYSTEMS.
