Suction Accumulator/Drier - Standard A/C: Installation

- Service the new suction accumulator/drier with the correct amount of PAG Refrigerant Compressor Oil (R-134a Systems) F7AZ-19589-DA (Motorcraft YN-12-C), or equivalent meeting Ford specification WSH-M1C231-B. For additional information, refer to CLIMATE CONTROL SYSTEM-GENERAL INFORMATION .
- Install the A/C cycling switch.
- Lubricate the new O-ring seals with PAG Refrigerant Compressor Oil (R-134a Systems) F7AZ-19589-DA (Motorcraft YN-12-C), or equivalent meeting Ford specification WSH-M1C231-B.
- Install the suction accumulator/drier.
- Install the suction accumulator/drier.
- Install the screws.
- Connect the A/C cycling switch electrical connector.
- Connect the evaporator discharge line.
- Lubricate the new O-ring seals with PAG Refrigerant Compressor Oil (R-134a Systems) F7AZ-19589-DA (Motorcraft YN-12-C), or equivalent meeting Ford specification WSH-M1C231-B and install the O-ring seals.
- Connect the compressor suction line.
- Lubricate the new O-ring seals with PAG Refrigerant Compressor Oil (R-134a Systems) F7AZ-19589-DA (Motorcraft YN-12-C), or equivalent meeting Ford specification WSH-M1C231-B and install the O-ring seals.
- Connect the compressor suction line.
- Install the screw.
- Install the battery tray.
- Install the battery. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
- Evacuate and charge the A/C system. For additional information, refer to CLIMATE CONTROL SYSTEM-GENERAL INFORMATION .
CAUTION:
Use a wrench on each side of the fitting to prevent damage to the A/C fitting.
