Suction Accumulator/Drier - Auxiliary A/C-Heater System: Removal

  1. Recover the refrigerant. For additional information, refer to CLIMATE CONTROL SYSTEM-GENERAL INFORMATION .
  2. Remove the battery (10655). For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
  3. Remove the battery tray.
    1. Remove the screws.
    2. Remove the battery tray.

  4. CAUTION: Use a wrench on each side of the fitting to prevent damage to the A/C fitting.

  5. Disconnect the evaporator discharge line.
  6. Disconnect the auxiliary evaporator to compressor tube spring lock coupling. For additional information, refer to CLIMATE CONTROL SYSTEM-GENERAL INFORMATION .

  7. Remove the screw.

  8. Disconnect the A/C cycling switch connector.

  9. Remove the suction accumulator/drier (19C836).
    1. Remove the screws.
    2. Remove the suction accumulator/drier.

  10. Remove the A/C cycling switch (19E561).
