Line - A/C Refrigeration, Auxiliary: Installation

Service the new auxiliary A/C refrigeration line with the correct amount of PAG Refrigerant Compressor Oil (R-134a Systems) F7AZ-19589-DA (Motorcraft YN-12-C), or equivalent meeting Ford specification WSH-M1C231-B. For additional information, refer to CLIMATE CONTROL SYSTEM-GENERAL INFORMATION .
Route the auxiliary A/C refrigeration line.
Raise and support the vehicle.
Connect the underbody tube spring lock coupling. For additional information, refer to CLIMATE CONTROL SYSTEM-GENERAL INFORMATION .

Lower the vehicle.

CAUTION: Use a wrench on each side of the fitting to prevent damage to the A/C fitting.

Connect the compressor suction line.
1. Lubricate the new O-ring seals with PAG Refrigerant Compressor Oil (R-134a Systems) F7AZ-19589-DA (Motorcraft YN-12-C), or equivalent meeting Ford specification WSH-M1C231-B and install the O-ring seals.
2. Connect the compressor suction line.

Connect the suction accumulator/drier spring lock coupling. For additional information, refer to CLIMATE CONTROL SYSTEM-GENERAL INFORMATION .

Install the four clamps.
1. Install the clamp.
2. Install the screw.
