Line - A/C Refrigeration, Auxiliary: Installation

- Service the new auxiliary A/C refrigeration line with the correct amount of PAG Refrigerant Compressor Oil (R-134a Systems) F7AZ-19589-DA (Motorcraft YN-12-C), or equivalent meeting Ford specification WSH-M1C231-B. For additional information, refer to CLIMATE CONTROL SYSTEM-GENERAL INFORMATION .
- Route the auxiliary A/C refrigeration line.
- Raise and support the vehicle.
- Connect the underbody tube spring lock coupling. For additional information, refer to CLIMATE CONTROL SYSTEM-GENERAL INFORMATION .
- Lower the vehicle.
- Connect the compressor suction line.
- Lubricate the new O-ring seals with PAG Refrigerant Compressor Oil (R-134a Systems) F7AZ-19589-DA (Motorcraft YN-12-C), or equivalent meeting Ford specification WSH-M1C231-B and install the O-ring seals.
- Connect the compressor suction line.
- Connect the suction accumulator/drier spring lock coupling. For additional information, refer to CLIMATE CONTROL SYSTEM-GENERAL INFORMATION .
- Install the four clamps.
- Install the clamp.
- Install the screw.
- Install the condenser to evaporator tube. For additional information, refer to LINE - CONDENSER TO EVAPORATOR, AUXILIARY A/C-HEATER SYSTEM .
CAUTION:
Use a wrench on each side of the fitting to prevent damage to the A/C fitting.
