Blower Motor: Removal

  1. Remove the battery (10655).
  2. Remove the battery tray.
    1. Remove the screws.
    2. Remove the battery tray.

  3. NOTE: This step must be performed if the vehicle is equipped with an A/C system.
  4. Move the suction accumulator/drier (19C836).
    1. Remove the three screws.
    2. Move the suction accumulator/drier.

  5. Remove the blower motor (19805).
    1. Disconnect the electrical hardshell connector.
    2. Remove the blower motor housing tube (19A786).
    3. Remove four screws.
    4. Remove the retaining clip.
    5. NOTE: To ease removal, align the flat spot on the blower motor mounting plate with the accumulator.

    6. Remove the blower motor.
  6. NOTE: Note the location of the blower motor wheel (18504) on the blower motor.
  7. Remove the blower motor wheel.
    1. Remove the retaining clip.
    2. Remove the blower motor wheel.
