Fuel Tank - E550: Installation

    ALL VEHICLES 

    NOTE: Do not tighten the mounting nuts at this time.

  1. Install the fuel tank straps and retaining nuts.
    2. NOTE: It may be necessary to adjust the strap position.

  2. Install the fuel tank and the bolts.
  3. Tighten the fuel tank strap nuts.

  4. Remove the jack from the fuel tank.
  5. Connect the fuel hoses.

  6. Connect the fuel tank electrical connector.

    7. GAS ENGINES 

  7. Connect the fuel tank pressure sensor electrical connector.

  8. Connect the evaporative emission hose.

    9. ALL VEHICLES 

  9. Connect the fuel filler pipe and filler vent tube

  10. Fill the fuel tank.
  11. Connect the battery ground cable. For additional information refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
