Water Pump - 4.6L, 5.4L and 6.8L: Removal

  1. Drain the cooling system. For additional information, refer to COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING, FILLING AND BLEEDING .
  2. Remove the fan and fan clutch. For additional information, refer to COOLING FAN .
  3. Remove the accessory drive belt. For additional information, refer to ACCESSORY DRIVE .
  4. Remove the water pump pulley.
    1. Remove the bolts.
    2. Remove the water pump pulley.

  5. Remove the bolts.
  6. Remove the water pump from the cylinder block.
