High-Pressure Oil Pump Drive Gear: Removal

  1. On all vehicles, remove the high-pressure oil pump reservoir. See HIGH-PRESSURE OIL PUMP RESERVOIR .
  2. Remove the high-pressure oil pump. See HIGH-PRESSURE OIL PUMP .
  3. Remove the drive gear from the crankcase front cover. Remove all gasket residue from the mating surfaces.
