Valve Cover LH: Removal

- Remove the engine cover. For additional information, refer to INTERIOR TRIM AND ORNAMENTATION .
- Remove the engine air cleaner assembly and the air cleaner outlet tube.
- Disconnect the crankcase vent tube from the valve cover.
- Remove the nut attaching the oil level indicator tube to the front of the engine.
- Remove the bolt attaching the oil level indicator tube to the rear of the engine.
- Position the oil level indicator tube aside.
- Disconnect the five LH ignition coil electrical connectors.
- Remove the throttle cable clamp bolt.
- Remove the bolts from the front and rear wiring harness brackets and position the wiring harness aside.
- Loosen the 14 bolts and remove the valve cover and gasket.
NOTE:
If the vehicle is equipped with rear auxiliary heat, the valve cover can be removed from the front of the vehicle.
NOTE:
The bolts are part of the valve cover and are not to be removed.
