Adjusting Sleeve: Installation

- Follow the removal procedure in reverse order. Make sure the adjuster clamps are in the correct position.
- Tighten the tie rod adjusting sleeve.
- Install the ball stud in the front wheel spindle, then tighten the castle nut.
- Install a new cotter pin.
- Check toe-in.
- Ensure steering wheel is centered.
NOTE:
The two bolts and nuts on the tie rod adjusting sleeve clamp for the tie rod end must be positioned within a limit of 45 degrees (+/-). The threaded ends of the bolts on the left tie rod end point toward the front of the vehicle. The threaded ends on the right tie rod end face rearward.
