Digital Transmission Range (Tr) Sensor: Removal

- Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
- Raise and support the vehicle.
- Disconnect the shift cable from the manual control lever.
- Disconnect the digital Transmission Range (TR) sensor electrical connector.
- Remove the manual control outer lever nut and manual control outer lever.
- Remove the screws and the digital TR sensor.
NOTE:
When the battery has been disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms can occur while the vehicle relearns its adaptive strategy. The customer needs to be notified that they may experience slightly different upshifts either soft or firm and this is a temporary condition and will eventually return to normal operating condition.
