Item 12: Brake Booster Assembly Removal Note

  1. Remove the vapor management valve (VMV) and bracket assembly and position it aside.

  2. Remove the wiper arm nuts and remove wiper arms.

  3. Disconnect the washer hose.

  4. Remove the cowl cover.
    1. Remove the cowl cover pushpins.
    2. Remove the cowl cover rubber trim.
    3. Remove the cowl cover.

  5. Remove the cowl brace center bolts. Remove the cowl brace end bolts and the bracket.

  6. Disconnect the coolant reservoir return hose.

  7. Remove the coolant reservoir bolts.

  8. Remove and discard the brake booster-to-brake pedal bracket nuts.

  9. Disconnect the brake pedal pin from the brake booster input shaft.
    1. Remove the brake pedal pin clip.
    2. Disconnect the booster input shaft from the brake pedal pin.
