Front Brake Caliper & Pads: Installation

Compress piston until it is fully seated in caliper bore. Install inboard pad in caliper, and position caliper on caliper anchor plate. Install caliper bolts and tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Install outer pad and spring clip. Connect brake hose at strut and brake caliper. Refill and bleed system. See BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM .

Compress piston until it is fully seated in caliper bore. Install caliper and tighten mounting bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Using 2 NEW copper washers, install brake hose. Apply a light coat of high-temperature grease between anti-rattle shims. Install brake pads and shims. Install springs and brake pad pins. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. Refill and bleed system. See BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM .
