Removal (Right Side)

  1. Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS  . Disable air bag system. See DISABLING SYSTEM  under DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM.
  2. Remove right rear door scuff plate. See Figure . Remove right rear seat belt anchor bolt and anchor, if equipped. Separate weatherstrip at right quarter trim panel.
  3. Pull out on right quarter trim panel at C-pillar to release retaining clips and access crash sensor. Disconnect right rear side crash sensor electrical connector. Remove rear side crash sensor mounting bolts and crash sensor.
