Removal (Left Side)

  1. Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS  . Disable air bag system. See DISABLING SYSTEM  under DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM.
  2. Remove left rear door scuff plate. See Figure . Remove left rear seat belt anchor bolt and anchor, if equipped. Separate weatherstrip at left quarter trim panel. Pull out on left quarter trim panel at C-pillar to release retaining clips and access crash sensor.
  3. Remove nut, bolt, disconnect harness connector and remove speaker. Disconnect left rear side crash sensor electrical connector. Remove rear side crash sensor mounting bolts and crash sensor.
