Front Seat: Removal

  1. Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS  . Disable air bag system. See DISABLING SYSTEM  under DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM.
  2. Remove front seat track mounting bolts and washers. On models equipped with power seats, connect negative battery cable. On all models, move front seat to most forward position.
  3. On models equipped with power seats, disconnect negative battery cable and wait at least one minute. On all models, remove rear seat track mounting nuts and washers. Disconnect seat electrical connectors and remove front seat.
