Diagnostics Activating Procedure (With Side Curtain & Side AIR Bags, Seats Installed)

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Wait at least one minute for back-up power supply to deplete stored energy.
  2. Remove air bag simulators from right and left side air bag module connectors and reconnect connectors. Remove air bag simulators from right and left side curtain air bag module connectors, reconnect connectors and reinstall removed components. Tighten seat belt guide bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  3. Remove air bag simulator from passenger-side air bag module connector, reconnect connector and close glove box. Remove air bag simulator from driver-side air bag module, reconnect connector and close access door.
  4. Connect negative battery cable. With all air bag simulators removed, perform system operation check. See SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK  . Perform computer relearn procedure. See COMPUTER RELEARN  . Reprogram pre-set radio frequencies and set clock.
