Test X: Incorrect Vehicle Identification (DTC C1414): Description

RCM monitors communication condition and circuits of impact sensors and Occupant Classification Sensor (OCS) system for an embedded vehicle identification code. If RCM detects conflicting information from impact sensors or OCS system, it will store DTC C1414 in memory. AIR BAG warning light will also flash Light Flash Code (LFC). Refer to table for corresponding LFC and associated fault. See INCORRECT MODEL LEVEL LIGHT FLASH CODES (LFCS)  table.

LFC Description of fault
1-5 RCM version conflicts with OCS version
Flashing @ 5 Hz (five times per second) RCM in plant mode
11-1 RCM version conflicts with front crash sensor version
11-2 RCM version conflicts with left front side crash sensor version
11-3 RCM version conflicts with right front side crash sensor version
11-4 RCM version conflicts with left rear crash sensor version
11-5 RCM version conflicts with right rear crash sensor version
