The window control switch illumination is inoperative	Wiring, terminals or connectors Window control switch	For MKZ, GO to PINPOINT TEST E . For Fusion/Milan, CHECK the operation of the power windows. If the power windows operate correctly, INSTALL a new window control switch. REFER to WINDOWS & GLASS - GLASS, FRAMES & MECHANISMS -- FUSION, MILAN & MKZ article. TEST the system for normal operation. If the power windows do not operate correctly, REFER to WINDOWS & GLASS - GLASS, FRAMES & MECHANISMS -- FUSION, MILAN & MKZ article.

All network-controlled illumination does not dim	Medium Seeped Controller Area Network (MS-CAN) SJB	CARRY OUT the network test. If the scan tool responds with no communication with the SJB, REFER to MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK -- FUSION, MILAN & MKZ article. If the scan tool communicates with the SJB, INSTALL a new SJB. REFER to MULTIFUNCTION ELECTRONIC MODULES -- FUSION, MILAN & MKZ article. TEST the system for normal operation.
The Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) illumination is inoperative/does not dim	IPC	CARRY OUT the network test. If the scan tool responds with no communication with the IPC, REFER to MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK -- FUSION, MILAN & MKZ article. If the scan tool communicates with the IPC, INSTALL a new IPC. REFER to INSTRUMENTATION, MESSAGE CENTER & WARNING CHIMES -- FUSION, MILAN & MKZ article. TEST the system for normal operation.
The Audio Control Module (ACM) illumination is inoperative/does not dim	ACM	CARRY OUT the network test. If the scan tool responds with no communication with the ACM, REFER to MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK -- FUSION, MILAN & MKZ article. If the scan tool communicates with the ACM, INSTALL a new ACM. REFER to INFORMATION & ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEMS -- FUSION, MILAN & MKZ article. TEST the system for normal operation.
The Front Controls Interface Module (FCIM) illumination is inoperative/does not dim	FCIM	CARRY OUT the network test. If the scan tool responds with no communication with the FCIM, REFER to MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK -- FUSION, MILAN & MKZ article. If the scan tool communicates with the FCIM, INSTALL a new FCIM. REFER to INFORMATION & ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEMS -- FUSION, MILAN & MKZ article. TEST the system for normal operation.
The Front Display Interface Module (FDIM) illumination is inoperative/does not dim (vehicles without navigation)	FDIM	CARRY OUT the network test. If the scan tool responds with no communication with the FDIM, REFER to MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK -- FUSION, MILAN & MKZ article. If the scan tool communicates with the FDIM, INSTALL a new FDIM. REFER to INFORMATION & ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEMS -- FUSION, MILAN & MKZ article. TEST the system for normal operation.
The Front Display Interface Module (FDIM) illumination is inoperative/does not dim (vehicles with navigation)	FDIM	REFER to INFORMATION & ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEMS -- FUSION, MILAN & MKZ article to continue diagnosis.
The HVAC module illumination is inoperative/does not dim	HVAC module	CARRY OUT the network test. If the scan tool responds with no communication with the HVAC module, REFER to MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK -- FUSION, MILAN & MKZ article. If the scan tool communicates with the HVAC module, INSTALL a new HVAC module. REFER to CLIMATE CONTROL -- FUSION, MILAN & MKZ article. TEST the system for normal operation.
