Rear Side Crash Sensor: Installation

  1. When installing rear side crash sensor, ensure crash sensor locator tab is aligned with opening in C-pillar sheet metal. Install rear side crash sensor bolt and tighten bolt to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . Reconnect rear side crash sensor electrical connector.
  2. Connect negative battery cable. With air bag simulators installed at all deployable air bag system devices, perform system operation check. See SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK  . Disconnect negative battery cable. Wait at least one minute. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. Tighten rear seat bolster mounting nut to specification. Activate air bag system. See ACTIVATING SYSTEM  under DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM.
