Rear Side Crash Sensor: Installation

- When installing rear side crash sensor, ensure crash sensor locator tab is aligned with opening in C-pillar sheet metal. Install rear side crash sensor bolt and tighten bolt to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Reconnect rear side crash sensor electrical connector.
- Connect negative battery cable. With air bag simulators installed at all deployable air bag system devices, perform system operation check. See SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK . Disconnect negative battery cable. Wait at least one minute. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. Tighten rear seat bolster mounting nut to specification. Activate air bag system.
