Removal & Installation

  1. Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS  . Disable air bag system. See DISABLING SYSTEM  under DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM.
  2. Remove right and left front seats. See FRONT SEAT  . Disconnect interior mirror electrical connector from back of mirror. Remove mirror anchor cover. Place interior mirror in full downward position. Pull downward on mirror until mirror releases from anchor.
  3. Remove right and left windshield side garnish trim panels, B-pillar trim panels and quarter trim panels. See Fig 1 . Disconnect rain sensor electrical connector. See Fig 2 . Pull overhead console away from headliner, disconnect electrical connectors and remove console. Disconnect rear headliner electrical connectors.
  4. Remove right and left sun visor screw covers and retaining screws. Disconnect sun visor electrical connectors and remove sun visors. Remove passenger assist handle screws covers and retaining screws. Disconnect passenger assist handle electrical connectors and remove assist handles. Disengage headliner wire harness retainers. Remove headliner. To install, reverse removal procedure. Install interior mirror, using Interior Mirror Adhesive (WSB-M2G176-B) and Interior Mirror Installation Tool (501-025/T94P-17700-AH). Activate air bag system. See ACTIVATING SYSTEM  under DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM.
