Removal and Installation

NOTE:
For non-functional ignition lock cylinders, the steering column lock module has to be replaced. For additional information, refer to

- Remove the Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS) transceiver. For additional information, refer to ANTI-THEFT - PASSIVE ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM (PATS) -- FUSION, MILAN & MKZ article or ANTI-THEFT - PASSIVE ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM (PATS) -- FUSION, MILAN & MKZ (HYBRID) article.
- Turn the ignition key to the ACC position.
- Using a suitable tool, press the ignition lock cylinder release button and remove the ignition lock cylinder.
- If a new lock cylinder with keys is replaced, the new PATS keys must be programmed. - To install, reverse the removal procedure.
