Front Seat: Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Ford Pickup, 2004 Ford F550 Super Duty, 2004 Ford F450 Super Duty, and 2004 Ford Excursion. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE: Front seat anchor bolts must be tightened in specific order.
  1. Position front seat in vehicle. Install front seat anchor bolts (DO NOT tighten at this time). Tighten rear anchor bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Tighten front anchor bolts to specification. Tighten fifth foot anchor bolt to specification. Install fifth foot trim cover. Remove pretensioner simulator from appropriate connector and reconnect under-seat connectors.
  2. Connect negative battery cable. With air bag simulators installed at all remaining deployable devices, perform system operation check. See SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK . Activate air bag system. See ACTIVATING SYSTEM  under DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM.
