Removal and Installation

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING article.
  2. Remove the intake manifold. For additional information, refer to ENGINE MECHANICAL - 2.5L -- FUSION & MILAN (EXCEPT HYBRID) article.
  3. Remove the bolt and the Knock Sensor (KS).
    • To install, tighten to 20 Nm (177 lb-in).
    4. NOTE: The KS must not touch the crankcase vent oil separator.
  4. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
