Removal and Installation

- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING article.
- Remove the engine oil filter.
- To install, tighten to 5 Nm (44 lb-in) and then rotate an additional 180 degrees.
- Disconnect the Engine Oil Pressure (EOP) switch electrical connector.
- Remove the EOP switch.
- To install, tighten to 14 Nm (124 lb-in).
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Apply thread sealant with PTFE to the EOP switch threads.
NOTE:
Lubricate the engine oil filter gasket with clean engine oil prior to installing.
