DTC P2533: Ignition Switch Run/Start Position Circuit

P2533 - IGNITION SWITCH RUN/START POSITION CIRCUIT

Description:  The powertrain control module (PCM) carries out a logic check on the ISP-R and ISPR/S circuits. The PCM sets this DTC when a concern is detected.
Possible Causes: 
  • ISP-R circuit open
  • ISP-R circuit short to ground
  • PCMRC circuit open
  • PCMRC circuit short to voltage
  • Ignition circuit fuse
  • Damaged ignition switch
  • PCM
Diagnostic Aids:  The KEYST parameter identifier (PID) should display RUN when the ignition is in the ON position.
Application  Key On Engine Off  Key On Engine Running  Continuous Memory 
All GO to PINPOINT TEST B .
