Wheel Studs: Removal

Raise and support the vehicle.
Remove the wheel and tire assembly.
On vehicles equipped with dual rear wheels, go to 7.
Remove the disc brake caliper and rotor. For additional information, refer to DISC - EXCURSION, F250-F550 SUPER DUTY PICKUP article.
Remove the rear wheel hub assembly. For additional information, refer to DIFFERENTIALS/DRIVE AXLES article.
Using a suitable press, remove the wheel bolt from the wheel hub and discard.

NOTE: For vehicles equipped with dual rear wheels, use the C-Frame and Clamp Assembly Tool to remove the wheel bolt on the vehicle.

Remove the wheel bolt from the wheel hub and discard.
