Test C: Engine Cranks Slowly

- Check The Voltage To The Starter
Turn ignition off. Measure the voltage between the starter motor solenoid positive terminal and ground. Is the voltage 12.5 volts or greater? If yes, go to next step. If no, repair the Red wire between the battery and the starter solenoid. Clean and tighten the connections at the battery terminals. Test the system for normal operation. - Check The Motor Ground Circuit
Perform the motor ground circuit test. See STARTER GROUND CIRCUIT TEST under ON-VEHICLE TESTS. Is the ground okay? If yes, install a new starter motor. Test the system for normal operation. If no, repair the ground circuit as necessary. Test the system for normal operation.
