Removal & Installation: Fender: Removal

NOTE:
LH fender shown in illustration, RH fender similar.
- Remove the wheel and tire. For additional information, refer to REMOVAL & INSTALLATION article.
- Remove the cowl panel grille. For additional information, refer to Cowl Panel Grille .
- Mark both hinge locations, remove the 4 hood hinge-to-hood bolts and remove the hood.
- Remove the front bumper cover. For additional information, refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION article.
- Remove the fender splash shield. For additional information, refer to Fender Splash Shield - LH or Fender Splash Shield - RH .
- Remove the 2 screws and position the wiring trough and the hood release cable aside.
- Remove the ground wire bolts as required.
- Remove the 2 pin-type retainers and loosen the rocker panel molding.
- Remove the 2 rocker panel fender bolts.
- If equipped, note the spacer locations.
- Remove the rear fender bolt.
- Remove the 2 upper rear fender bolts.
- Remove the 3 lower front fender bolts.
- Remove the fender brace bolt.
- Remove the 2 upper front fender bolts.
- Remove the rear inner fender bolt and the fender.
NOTE:
Support the hood with a suitable hood support.
NOTE:
Two technicians are needed to carry out this step.
NOTE:
Slide the wiring trough forward to release the trough locator from the fender.
NOTE:
An assistant is needed to support the fender when removing this bolt on the RH fender.
