Seat Armrest Locking Pin Reset

- If equipped, insert a suitable tool into the LH pivot cover and attempt (push in) to reset the seat armrest locking pin. If the cover does not reset, proceed to Step 2.
- Position the driver seat forward and remove the LH pivot screw cover to access the armrest impact locking pin.
- Insert a suitable tool behind the cover and carefully pry to release the lower tab.
- Apply upward pressure to the forward edge of the cover to release the upper tab.
- Pull the forward edge of the cover outward and slide out the rear tab.
- Push the armrest locking pin inward to the reset position and raise the seat armrest to the upright position.
- After the armrest locking pin is reset, quickly rock the armrest back and forth to make sure the locking pin remains in the reset position.
- If the armrest locking pin releases, causing the armrest to lock in the upright position, a new seat armrest must be installed. For additional information, refer to Seat Armrest - Front .
- Install the LH armrest pivot screw cover.
- Check the pivot screw cover tabs. If damaged, install a new cover.

NOTE:
Note the location of the pivot screw cover release tabs and use care when detaching the trim cover to avoid damaging the seat armrest upholstery.
