Seat Cushion - Front, Center: Disassembly

NOTE: In the event of an impact of sufficient force, the front center seat has an automatic locking pin to keep the center seat back (seat armrest) from falling forward. To reset the center seat back, remove the front center seat side cover and press the automatic locking pin.

All vehicles 

  1. Remove the front center seat. For additional information, refer to Seat - Front, Center .
  2. Remove the 2 pivot screw covers.

    Vehicles with the seat armrest locked in the vertical position 

  4. From the left side of the seat armrest, push in on the locking tab to reset the armrest impact locking pin.

    All vehicles 

  6. Remove the pivot screw from each side and remove the seat armrest.

  8. Remove the seat armrest lid.
    1. Push the left latch button and open the seat armrest lid.
    2. Push the check lever to reset the 2 release buttons and partially close the seat armrest lid.
    3. Push the right release button and lift the seat armrest lid assembly off.

  10. Open the front seat cushion cupholder, remove the 3 screws, cupholder and bezel.

  12. Remove the 2 front seat cushion cupholder support screws.

  14. Remove the 4 screws.

  16. Remove the vent distribution panel and cover.

  18. Release the J-clips and remove the cover.
