Crankshaft Rear Oil Seal: Removal

  1. Remove transmission. See TRANSMISSION REMOVAL & INSTALLATION article in TRANSMISSION SERVICING. Remove oil pan. See OIL PAN . Remove flywheel. Remove rear oil seal retainer.
  2. Using rear crankshaft slinger remover and slide hammer, remove oil slinger. Using rear crankshaft seal remover, remove oil seal.
