Front Axle: Removal

- Raise and support vehicle. Remove wheel and tire assembly. Remove front spindle. See SPINDLE . Support front axle with a jack. Remove coil spring. See COIL SPRING . Remove lower spring insulator and seat. Remove radius arm-to-axle bolt. See Fig 1. Remove radius arm-to-frame bracket pivot bolt. Remove radius arm.
- To remove right axle pivot bolt, relieve weight from suspension. On both sides, remove pivot bolt and axle. Check pivot bushings for wear or damage. Replace if necessary.
