Coil Spring: Removal

Raise front of vehicle and support with jack stands under frame and floor jack under axle. Remove wheel assembly. Remove shock absorber. See SHOCK ABSORBER . Remove upper spring retainer bolt and remove retainer. Lower floor jack until spring is free of upper spring seat. Using an extension through the top of the spring, remove lower spring retainer, and remove spring. See Fig 1.
