Torsion Bar: Installation

  1. Position torsion bar and torsion bar adjuster. Align marks on torsion bar and torsion bar adjuster. Install torsion bar adjuster. Position torsion bar insulator.
  2. Install torsion bar tool and adapters. Tighten torsion bar tool until NEW adjustment bolt and nut can be installed. Turn adjustment bolt until previously measured adjustment depth is reached.
  3. Position torsion bar cover plate. Install torsion bar cover plate bolts. Check ride height. See RIDE HEIGHT  under ADJUSTMENTS & INSPECTIONS. Check wheel alignment.
