Coil Spring: Removal

- Place steering wheel and steering system in the centered position. Raise vehicle on hoist. Remove wheel and tire assembly. Remove brake caliper, and wire aside. Remove shock absorber upper retaining nut and washer. Remove 2 shock absorber-to-lower control arm nuts.
- Disconnect stabilizer bar link from lower control arm. See Figure . Using Coil Spring Compressor (D78P-5310-A), compress coil spring. Remove lower ball joint cotter pin and nut. Using Pitman Arm Puller (T64P-3590-F), separate lower ball joint from spindle. Swing spindle aside. Remove coil spring.
