Powertrain Control Module (PCM): Removal

- Retrieve the module configuration. Carry out the module configuration retrieval steps of the Programmable Module Installation (PMI) procedure. For additional information, refer to MODULE CONFIGURATION .
- Detach the wiring harness retainer from the cowl stud bolt.
- Disconnect the 3 PCM electrical connectors.
- Remove the 2 bolts and the PCM.
- Remove and inspect the PCM cowl seal; install new if damaged.
NOTE:
PCM installation DOES NOT require new keys or programming of keys, only a Parameter Reset of the Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS).
